There will never come a day where everyone around you will be able to handle you in all of who you are.

In all of your intensity, or all of your emotionality.

Those who can’t handle your beauty or the fact that you don’t care for a second about your appearance.

Maybe it’s your stillness, or you loudness.

Your intelligence, or your brilliant and ‘too dark’ humour.

. . .

To those who cannot handle you; you are nothing but a reflection of the parts of themselves they have not yet learned to dance with.

Parts of themselves that they have convinced themselves they are not and can never be.

. . .

The funny thing about us humans it that we love what we can identify with… things that that are like us; and when we’ve blocked out a part of us that we believe we are not, it is difficult for us to stand in its presence.

In the times you feel like being less than who it is that you are, when you feel like not speaking because someone wont be able to hold your words, when you choose to dim your light for the sake of keeping things comfortable…

- pause - and remember that in those small moments, although maybe not convenient, much like a movie scene that causes someone to feel overwhelming emotions and sensations… you are being a human form performance of somebody else’s potential.

It is not your obligation to step down for the sake of you both meeting.

However, it is theirs rise.
